I cannot say enough good things about the faculty and administration. The academics and curriculum have been a great fit for my children. The hands on, project base learning is wonderful. In addition to that, the frequent expeditions are fantastic and fun. Now onto the bad. Bullying and overall school culture needs improvement. We've had issues in that department, and unfortunately, the bad kids get away with their bad behavior. The school's social scene is a little icy, and not very welcoming. this is especially true for the upper grades. I can't place the blame on the school for this problem, but it does reflect back to the local community. Avondale/ Decatur definitely have an elitist vibe that overflows into the school....
